Following are the pages which reflect my journey of past 30 years in pursuit of excellence in the field of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery as well as Teaching and Administration.

My surgical profile encompasses all subspecialties of Otolaryngology with equal efficiency, like Head and Neck Cancer-surgery and other Head and Neck Surgeries, Endoscopic and Open Sinus surgery and Central Skull Base, Otology and Lateral Skull Base, Cochlear Implant Surgery, Airway Reconstruction etc. With an experience as Principal Surgeon, for over 23000 major and supra-major surgeries from the most basic to the most complex in each of the fields mentioned.

Total Undergraduate teaching experience 28 years and 6 months.

Total Post Graduate teaching experience 18 years. 

Other Official Responsibility: Secretary and Treasurer of Clinical Trial Unit and Clinical Research Site of BJGMC Pune. BJGMC CTU is an Indo-US partnership for research with Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore USA.

During my tenure the aggregate annual research Funding increased from $ 3,71,411/- to $ 10,84,790/-

Recent Awards:

1. Best Medical Teacher Award, by Directorate of Medical Education; 2018; the highest recognition a medical teacher can get in the State of Maharashtra; from amongst 2500 medical teachers of the State Government run 19 Medical Colleges and
2. Academic Excellence; by Association of otolaryngologists Aurangabad; 2018 due to my overall contribution to Otolaryngology surgery and teaching; selected from 1600 members of association in
3. FMSB Golden Jubilee citation award; 2018; for rendering yeoman service towards treating ENT diseases in State of Maharashtra; from amongst all eligible members of FMSB (total 1600 Otolaryngologists).
4. IMPAACT Certificate of Appreciation by National Institutes of Health USA (NIAID-IMPAACT) to BJGMC Clinical trial Unit in 2017 with myself as administrative in charge.
5. Certificate of Honor from Chief Minister of Maharashtra; 2016; for contribution to health camps for rural population where healthcare is not accessible.
6. PROMISE TEAM AWARD; 2014; from PROMISE network NIH USA; for excellent data management; from amongst all eligible research sites of the network
7. ICMR Fellowship award; Government of India Sponsored fellowship was awarded in 2012 for study of LASERs and Head and Neck Cancers in Belgium; only 5 doctors from all over India were selected; I was one amongst those

2. Started fellowships in 11 subjects and 5 positions of sponsored National and International Student Fellowships with Tata Memorial Cancer Institute
3. I was instrumental in Starting MCh Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, MCh Neurosurgery and MCh Pediatric Surgery Super-specialty courses at BJGMC
