Ø Our Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy (DVL) conducts dedicated specialty clinics throughout the week for comprehensive management of various dermatological disorders. These include Contact Dermatitis, Vitiligo, Hair  Disorders, Psoriasis, Vesicobullous Disorders, Connective Tissue Disorders, STI, and Genodermatoses clinics, ensuring focused patient care and academic
training.

Ø Newly started OPD/ patient care services by the department : Nail Surgeries, Vitiligo surgery, Laser Procedures, Hair reduction, Scar revision , Pigment removal

Ø Details of the camp conducted by the department :MJPJAY  conducts 3-4 Free Health Camps per month aimed to provide free dermatological consultations, raise awareness about skin and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and promote preventive healthcare practices among the community.Interactive awareness sessions were conducted, addressing common skin disorders, fungal infections, psoriasis, acne management, and STDs such as syphilis and gonorrhea.

A Prospective random trial.(2026) Pediatric onset Nekam’s disease in association with hypothyroidism:a rare case presentation –poster Mahaendocon kolhapur 2nd prize

2.Regenerative Therapy – PRP and exome therapy for skin repair and hair regrowth

other departmental information: Our department is equipped with diagnostic and treatment technologies, including: Dermatoscopes for accurate skin disease diagnosis , full body NB-UVB phototherapy units for conditions like psoriasis and vitiligo, Excimer laser for alopecia , vitiligo advanced lasers like ND-YAG for pigmentation,  DIODE Laser for hair reduction, and scar treatment. The department is actively involved in clinical research, medical education, and training for students, residents, and healthcare professionals. We conduct and attend regular seminars, workshops, and CMEs to stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology and venereology. Faculty members, residents and students actively participate & publishes research papers , case reports and review articles in reputed dermatology journals CMEs ,National and international conferences .
